Your commitment to us
When you confirm your purchase, you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of any contract between The Children’s Trust and yourself.
No contract exists between you and The Children’s Trust for the sale of any tickets until we have received and accepted your order and received payment in full. Once cleared funds are received, there is a binding contract between us.
Prices
The description and price of tickets you order will be shown on The Children’s Trust website at the time you place your order. Prices are in UK Sterling and inclusive of any applicable taxes. Prices are correct at time of going to press and are subject to change without notification.
Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your tickets.
We accept most major credit and debit cards in partnership with our payment gateway.
Online Security
To ensure that your online shopping experience is secure, your credit / debit card details will be encrypted on a secure server to minimize the possibility of someone being able to read them as they are sent over the Internet.
Limitation of Liability
The Children’s Trust total [k1] liability for in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this agreement shall be limited to the price paid for the goods.
The limitation on any exclusion from liability contained in these conditions shall be subject to the provisions of second 2(1) of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
The Children’s Trust will not be liable in any amount for failure to perform any obligation under this agreement if such failure is caused by the occurrence of any unseen event beyond its reasonable control including without limitation Internet and Communication outages, fire, flood, war or act of God.
General Terms & Conditions
1. Tickets cannot be exchanged, resold or refunded. Online tickets will only be accepted if purchased from The Children’s Trust website. You should produce and surrender your e-ticket on arrival at the event. If you are unable to print your tickets, please give us your 8 digit reference number and we will be able to cross-check this with our sales lists.
2. Please make sure the ticket holder checks the details of the ticket and ensures there are no mistakes made.
3. The Children’s Trust and our partner Venues reserve the right to cancel ticket bookings which it reasonably suspects to have been made fraudulently, duplicated and are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.
4. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will use reasonable endeavors to notify ticket holders of the cancellation as soon as we have received notification from the venue. Please note that we cannot guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the event. In the event of an event being cancelled by the venue, an alternative date will be offered or a refund made.
5. Tickets are sold subject to The Children’s Trust and Venue’s right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
6. Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person. The Children’s Trust and Venue reserve the right to refuse admittance to any person or persons.
7. In instances where time slots are given, it is the responsibility of the ticket holder to attend their timed attraction at the time specified on the E-ticket. If a ticket holder misses their allocated timed slot, The Children’s Trust will make every effort to reschedule a new time but cannot guarantee this and a refund cannot be issued.
8. The safety of visitors is of paramount importance to The Children’s Trust. The ticket holder and all guests must comply with all relevant statutes, health and safety procedures and Venue regulations whilst attending the event. The Venue may have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of patrons.
9. Behavior likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall entitle The Children’s Trust and Venue to eject such person from the event.
10. Filming and photography will be taken on the day to support future promotion of The Children's Trust events, for example via the media, social media, digital channels and printed materials. If you would prefer for your images or footage to not be included, please inform a staff member on the day or email us at pressoffice@thechildrenstrust.org.uk.
11. The Children’s Trust and or Venue accept no responsibility for any personal property brought to the venue.
12. Where you have purchased a registration fee to take part in a sporting event, you will be asked to sign a declaration to ensure you are fit to participate and do so at your own risk. Where such event also requires you to raise a minimum sponsorship amount, you will be given a pledge to sign. These events are important fundraising events for the charity, hence we ask for a minimum sponsorship commitment where you have signed up as part of a team, team leaders are responsible for the team’s joint fundraising target.
13. Additional terms and conditions relating to your event will be printed on your ticket or will be in your welcome pack.
Severance
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out and the remaining provisions shall remain in force.
